My expertise

Since 1993, I have provided retirement and personal financial planning services to families, executives, professionals, and business owners. My background in commercial banking led me to this field, where clients sought guidance on executive compensation, employee benefits, business succession, and personal retirement income planning. They also needed advice on asset allocation, asset location, and the life insurance coverage necessary to protect both their businesses and their families.

I have been in the financial planning business with over 30 years of experience. I have helped my clients weather economic outcomes such as the dotcom bubble (2000-2002), the great recession of 2007-2009, European sovereign debt crisis 2009-20012, Covid 19 in 2020 and global inflation and interest rate hikes 2021-2024. During these times and other events, we managed our clients expectations and fears to position them with a better financial future.

The CLU® certification gives financial professionals an in-depth understanding of life insurance products, underwriting, and solutions as a key part of a goal-based financial plan. This underwriting certification includes insights on life insurance for business continuity, employee benefits, and estate planning. It is similar in some respects to the Life Underwriter Training Council Fellow (LUTCF) designation; however, the CLU® designation offers a more focused course of study on the practical, legal, and ethical aspects of life insurance throughout clients’ lifecycles.
